who we are

Beauvine Enterprises is a Dodgeville, WI based grass-fed beef family farm in operation since 2018. We raise mostly Galloway cattle from birth to butcher on our farm-- we chose the breed specifically for their suitability to Wisconsin weather, for their ability to finish well on grass, and because they are good at having babies without outside help. Also they are super cute and fuzzy!

We have around 125 head at any given time and work with a fantastic butcher in Soldier's Grove, Wisconsin to offer customers top-quality grass-fed and finished beef. In 2022, we added laying hens (and one rooster, Mr. Peabody) to our operation and are excited to continue to grow!

Beau Hartline (also known as Beautato, or Husbeau depending on who you’re talking to) has dreamed of his own beef ranch since well before he met Rachel many years ago. Rachel Hassenpflug Hartline is a family doctor by day (and sometimes night too) and jumped into ag after meeting Mr. Right and discovering his passion.

We also get by with a lot of help from Beau's parents, Mike and Charlene Hartline. They keep the ranch running— whether it’s excavating for our new water/electric line going to the cattle pen, taking care of the baby who needed a little TLC, or executing your beef delivery, they are there day in and day out and an essential part of your favorite local grass fed beef operation

what we do

We offer fabulous ground beef to individuals and businesses searching for delicious, ethically raised, and environmentally conscious beef.

We utilize sustainable, earth-friendly practices to help grow the best beef nature can give us:

Our animals spend their whole lives in the pasture eating grass fresh from the earth and are not fattened with grain as conventional and feedlot cattle are. They get as much time with their mother as desired and generally wean themselves when they are ready to switch from milk to grass.

We avoid routine use of antibiotics and never use hormones so that you can trust your food is safe.

We utilize rotational grazing— moving the cattle often to different areas of pasture— to optimize the cattle's impact on the land and help it produce prolific grass and protect biodiversity and against erosion. One of our favorite things about grass-fed beef farming is the potential positive impact on the environment!

We are also members of the Wisconsin Grass-Fed Beef Coop and follow their protocols with all our animals so you can feel confident in the quality of your beef.
